NURS 602 Foundational Concepts of the Family Nurse Practitioner Role II

This course builds upon the foundational knowledge and skills required for the family nurse practitioner (FNP) role, with an emphasis on clinical safety, accountability, and competence. Students will explore strategies to create a safe and supportive work environment. Students will hone effective documentation, referral, and consultation practices to ensure high-quality, continuous care. Additionally, students will develop the essential skills for performing office procedures, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, within the scope of FNP practice. Prerequisite: NURS 721.
