EDME 740 Practicum in Educational Leadership

The Educational Leadership practicum provides structured opportunities for observation, guided participation, and applied practice in PK–12 school settings. Students engage with the daily responsibilities of school leaders, including instructional leadership, school operations, community engagement, and organizational decision‑making. Emphasis is placed on connecting theoretical and research-based concepts from prerequisite and co-requisite coursework with the authentic leadership actions and judgment required of effective school leaders. Focus areas include data-informed school improvement planning, supervision and evaluation, fostering positive school culture, and ensuring equitable learning environments.
