ENGL 152 Selected Works of American Literature

Read, discuss, and respond to literature by significant American writers. Explore the techniques of diverse literary expressions within the American tradition and reflect on the active role literature plays in personal growth and social transformation. Readings will vary by semester and instructor but will reflect diverse American experiences and may include the colonial through the contemporary periods and genres in fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and drama.
