NURS 522 Principles of Measurement and Evaluation

This course provides an in-depth exploration of key principles and best practices in assessment and evaluation within nursing education. Students will learn how to design, implement, and analyze assessments to measure student learning, clinical competencies, and program effectiveness. Emphasis will be placed on test item construction and analysis, rubric development, and the role of self and peer assessment. Students will examine strategies to advance critical decision making that support student development into safe competent nurses.
